Poor service
Poor service. Very slow. My parcel arrived at Manchester depot this morning and thought it would be delivered today . I live 30 miles away but have to wait till tomorrow. It took 5 days from America to UK ?

Absolutely poor service.
I totally agree with all the bad reviews, I have been waiting for an item to be delivered over the last 4 days, on two separate occasions they sent a text with times for the delivery but nothing arrived, you can't even speak to anyone about it, I needed this item for my holiday so no good now, thanks DHL you deserve to go under.

Terrible company
Terrible company, re-arranged parcel delivery, parcel hasn't turned up and you are unable to speak to any actual people, just an automated message to tell me the parcel will be delivered on a date which is now in the past.

Do not answer any claims on their own insurance
I sold a kitchen appliance and sent it with this company. Owing to value of item and its new condition I paid for insurance. The parcel was very well packed but arrived with recipient damaged, box split and totally unusable. I had to refund .The company do not respond to any claims on their own insurance which appears to be nothing more than a scam. Of course impossible to speak or message anyone. Emails to claims go into a black hole. I shall be pursuing other options to get my money back. Yes damage happens but at least have some customer service and an honest system for dealing with problems particularly when all the photographic proof is sent to you. They do not deserve even 1 star

Absolute joke of a company
3 days now i have made plans for my order to be delivered and again you was so incompetent you couldn't manage it.
This isn't the first time and I'm filled with dread when I see you are the chosen delivery company ? now a main birthday present isn't going to make it and I'm in a panic.
Seriously folks if you see this company used avoid buying, it's the only way they might either get there act together

No number. No talkie…
I receive various deliveries from time to time and DHL have always seemed quite a reliable company.
This time I wanted to send a parcel which is something I rarely do if ever. I went on to the DHL website and although some items were a little unclear I managed to pay £55 to send my parcel to The Gambia. With all forms and labels attached I took it to a drop-off point only to be rejected with an unrecognised shipment number. I gave it an hour or so and tried a different drop-off point with the same result. Anyone can make mistakes so I checked everything and then returned to the DHL website for help. This is where the problem really starts. As my shipment number is not recognised the automated phone system simply hangs up on you after your second attempt and the chat-bot system on line will not respond! The only way I could try to get any help was an email enquiry to which they will respond in 2 or 3 working days. The responses I received were slow, poor and even badly writen. Thankfully I have managed to get the parcel underway allbeit 5 days later and with it's original labels. They may be ok at delivery but if they don't recognise their number you may as well bang your head aganst the wall.

Incompetent, Unreliable, Empty Promises and a Waste of Time

If I could give no star, I would, because DHL Parcel UK doesn’t deserve it.

So I went through the process of booking a date and time for collection. Was given a collection date for the 18th of July. On the day, I waited for a text confirming my one-hour slot, but got nothing. I was patient for awhile, and then called customer service, only for me to get the automated response, which I followed through with and confirmed that my parcel was to be collected between 13:25 and 14:25. I waited, but it wasn’t collected. Tried calling again and this time, it said my parcel will be collected before 18:00 and to press 1 if I’d like to change the collection and speak with customer service. I spoke with customer service and was told that for “some reason” the system had moved my collection to the 19th and was promised that my parcel will be collected between 13:25 and 14:25 and that I’d get a text confirmation. I was also asked if I wanted the option of being called when the driver is around for collection to which I said yes, and told that a note had been made to the depot that my collection was missed and should be actioned for tomorrow. I accepted, took the apologies and waited until today.

Today, I got no text with the one hour slot again, called and was told it’ll be collected between 12:38 and 13:38, contrary to what I was told yesterday. When it was 13:44, I decided to call again and had to press 1 to speak with customer service since the parcel wasn’t collected and this time, was told that the parcel will be collected before 6pm. Recollecting that the system had told me yesterday that my parcel will be collected before 6pm, I retreated and asked, “Are you sure it’ll be by 6? Because the same thing happened yesterday and I waited to no avail. I don’t want to have to wait for something that’s not going to happen”. Then they said, actually no, it won’t, the system has moved collection to the 20th. I told them I was unimpressed and really, this is the worst parcel service experience I’ve had.

I had to ask for a refund and was told to look out for an email regarding this and that once a refund is issued, should be within 5-7days.

If you can’t offer a service, don’t promise. I didn’t pay for a collection and next day delivery before 12pm service for nothing. The parcel was time-sensitive and you just messed it up. I used to be a big fan but in recent times, the services you’ve rendered have been very disappointing. I really would not have had a problem if DHL at least had the courtesy to text me on the morning of both sham dates to say the parcel wouldn’t be collected. At least, I wouldn’t have taken my time to pack the parcel or spend the whole day pacing back and forth my sitting room waiting for a knock. DHL wasted my time and I am very unlikely to return again.

One of the best couriers
Excellent as usual.2 deliveries today,both picked up from different suppliers yesterday and arrived at 9.30. I have to say i am surprised when i read some peoples experiences as i have never,and i repeat never,had a problem with DHL. I would also point out that i live in a very rural area and am not easy to find.

Parcel gone missing
Parcel gone missing!
I had to post important documents to Turkey, thought DHL best option as world wide company. Booked 1-3 days service, paid £35 for the parcel plus £10 for protection. After driver picked up my parcel, its gone missing. Try to get to customer service now! No phone number to call for international delivery. So disappointed , absolutely rubbish company and customer service. Never Ever again will use your company.
Also my advice to people NOT to send any documents or valuable things, it will go missing..

Was waiting inside for my laptop that was issued from my company to start my new job… they didn’t even deliver it as I have a living room that sits looking into the front gate and front door. Not even a van pulled up. Absolute joke of a company!

After writing this review today, DHL did collect the item in question within hour. Upgraded to two stars, as item now collected. But this was a random attendance without notice.

Booked two collections with the range for item below. And when the range customer service called DHL. She was informed the driver logged, customer wasn't ready, what ever that means. We did have a date, but your driver was a no show. And all vans were back at the depo.

Like many/ most the people who have…
Like many/ most the people who have commented. I have been let down by DHL on a number of occasions.
My DHL parcels never arrive on the expected delivery date and I try to avoid companies that use DHL.
I had a delivery from Amazon and dpd so I can’t think there was a national problem being the reason for lack of delivery.

You can’t speak to anyone about a complaint just wait 3 weeks for an e-mail reply.

Impossible to get hold of DHL when you have an issue with delivery (which is often). Customer Services non existent. How companies like this survive I have no idea!
